Flexible Childcare Help Needed – Bærum (Stabekk/Bekkestua Area)
Hi! I’m a working parent of two lovely daughters — a curious and bright 7-year-old, and a playful, energetic 2-year-old. We've recently relocated from the US and are settling into life here in Norway.
I'm looking for a reliable, caring, and flexible person who can support our family with childcare on an ad hoc or semi-regular basis.
What We're Looking For
Someone warm, responsible, and who enjoys spending time with young children
Comfortable caring for both a toddler and a school-aged child (though the primary focus will be on the 2-year-old)
Comfortable speaking English (helpful as the children are still learning Norwegian)
Located near or willing to travel to Stabekk/Bekkestua (Bærum)
Example Schedule
We’re flexible and happy to adjust based on your availability. A typical week might look like:
Afternoons (3–4 days a week): 15:00–19:00
One weekend day (Saturday or Sunday): 10:00–16:00
Full-day coverage (approx. 8 hours) when I travel for work
If you prefer a more flexible, week-by-week arrangement, that’s completely fine too — we can work together to find what suits us both.
Pay
200 NOK per hour
About Us
I work from home most of the time but occasionally travel for work or have in-person meetings in Oslo
We're an English-speaking household and are in the process of learning Norwegian
We're looking for someone who is kind, dependable, and enjoys being part of a family environment
