Dear reader, We are a family living at Moholt, Trondheim. David will soon be 3 years old and he is about to become a big brother :-) We initially thought our need for help was the best fit for an Au pair, but a flexible "Dagmamma" could also solve our need. About us: Dad works offshore for Equinor, i.e. 2 weeks away and 4 weeks home. The need for help is higher when he is away. David's mom is originally from Algeria, speaks Norwegian, fluent English, French and Arabic. She works at NTNU but is on maternity leave now. David goes to kindergarten normally. He will not attend the kindergarten the first months because of the exposure to any disease. Mom will undergo surgery, so we want as little exposure as possible. The job: Until June: be with David a few hours a day. Once he knows you, take him to a playground outside and engage him. Around June, he will go back to the kindergarten. Dad is doing a doctorate (PhD), so he is quite busy in the 4 weeks home. Once the degree is accomplished (June?), the job will be more focused on the 2 weeks dad is offshore. Typically pick up David and deliver hi to the kindergarten, up to 1 hour cleaning in the house (with robotic vacuum and electrical floor cleaner it is not a big deal), pick David up after kindergarten and overlap a bit with mum in the afternoon as agreed with her. In-house Au pair: We think you will like it with us. We have a rented apartment in our house, where 3 international and a Norwegian student stay. They like it here, it is spacious, quiet location and central to most necessities (grocery store, gym, pharmacy, 10 minutes bus to down town, etc.). Our house offer privacy in the live-in section.
