Hi, we are a norwegian/swedish family living in Norway in a town called Drammen (40 km from Oslo.) We live next to the forest so hiking and skiing is a big part of our free time. Thats why I´m looking for someone who share our love for being out in nature in all weathers. We have two boys (Isidor 7, Lysander 12 months.) My fiancé (Jon) works as a pilot and is often away for 5 days in a row and I will start my Masters degree in August which is why we need someone to help us with the kids in the morning and the afternoon/evening. They both go to school/kindergarten from approx. 8.30-16.00 so the good thing is you will always have the day to yourself. Mostly we will need help getting the kids ready for school/kindergarten in the morning or/and pick them up and spend a couple of hours with them in the afternoon. This will vary and we´ll figure out the details as we go along. Sometimes you´ll babysit the kids for a friday evening and saturday morning OR saturday evening and sunday morning. Our weeks are carefully scheduled to make life go around but other than that we are a rather fun, spontaneous, easy going and active family who like to do a lot of things in our free time. It is important for us to find someone who truly likes to be out and about and who can for example take the kids up in the forest to go sledding on a winters day or walk up to the forest lake to go swimming on a summers day. As for house chores we need you to help us with basic stuff like keep things tidy ( i.e. load in/out the dish washer, pick up toys, fold/wash the kids clothes, change linnen in the kids beds) and sometimes make dinner. I was an au pair when I was in my twenties and I really loved it. I therefore hope I can give our au pair the same experience and we will do our very best to make you feel welcome.
