Sending my warm greetings to my future host family. I wish you a cheerful day beautiful and colorful as tulips. My name is Charlotterose, I’m 28 years old currently living in Thailand but I’m actually from the Philippines. I grew up nurtured with love and Christian values. I’m the youngest among the 4 siblings. My brothers and sisters have their own family. I’m the only one that is still single and has no child. This is why I tend to babysit my nephew and nieces back in the day when I was still a teen and even when I’m already an adult. As a filipino myself we’re known for having strong close family ties hence children are often raised by an extended family household. Moreover, being surrounded by a devoted Christian family. I’m not a fan of secular vices. I don't smoke nor drink and have no tattoos but I’m not perfect, still a sinner and not better than anyone else. Thankfully I’m fit, I weigh 100 pounds and 160 cm in height. I have a 20/20 vision. I don't have allergies and no special diet. I’m fully vaccinated with one booster.
Since there are two types of me, I believe I am an ambivert. I enjoy outdoor hobbies such as hiking, traveling, biking, vlogging and eating out with people I cherish. But also, I enjoy solitude. I like staying at home cooking, cleaning, watching my favorite series, sleeping, listening to music, and reading forums, youtube comments and articles I'm interested in.
Four years ago, I finished my degree in the Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management from the University of Mindanao. In 2019, I got my first job working as a Front Office Associate in Club Samal Resort for four months. At that time, my late father was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer. I quitted my job and spent the remaining days nursing him. Last year, I worked as an admin aide III in the Department of Agriculture Region XII, a government department in the Philippines. Due to a change of political administration, my contract ended after eight months. Right now, I’m currently living in Thailand and doing part time jobs such as running errands and cleaning condos and houses for expats. I’m also a waitress for an Italian Restaurant from 5pm to 12 midnight. My restaurant employer can’t provide me with a working visa so basically I’m working full time without a contract. I can respectfully leave anytime and process my au pair requirements if I’ll be given a chance to be an au pair.
The following are my skills:
✅ I speak English, Tagalog, Bisaya, and Basic Thai Phrases.
✅ I have experience of nannying and babysitting kids. I’m also a volunteer teacher in our Church here in Thailand.
✅ I can cook Filipino dishes and European food such as pasta. I’m also open to learning other cuisines.
✅ I can do household chores. I have experience cleaning condo units of expats and I’m also a volunteer cleaner of our church here in Thailand.
✅ I can babysit pets as well. We have dogs and cats back in the Philippines.
✅ I can ride a bicycle.
✅ I can sing and dance.
Growing up it’s always been my biggest dream to travel and experience the culture of beautiful Europe. And not every Filipino has the chance to visit this magnificent continent. But with the opportunity made by the Au Pair Program, it feels like I’m one step closer to that dream. I wish I knew about this program earlier since I’m 28 years old now. Still, I will try my remaining chances.
To my future first host family, know that you will be the most special and dearest to me. I believe you are the answers to my prayers. I’m now 28 years old, I only have 1 or 2 years left to experience this opportunity. Surely, I will make it worth it. I cannot promise to be the perfect Au Pair but one thing is for sure I’ll do my best, be responsible, loveable, and caring to your adorable kids as if they’re my own nieces and nephews. I cannot wait to meet you soon and create good memories with your lovely kids and the rest of the family.
