Dear host family,
I am already very excited about getting to know you. But, first of all, I would like to introduce myself to you.
My name is Kimberly. I am 22 years old and from the small city of Tarlac in the Philippines. With my parents, Rhoda and Alfonso, and my siblings, Nikka and Mark.
I would describe myself as a reliable and caring person, who tries to make the best out of every situation. I like spending time with my family because to me, family is everything.
Since I was 12 years old, I have already taken care of children of all ages from my own family and others. I became very close to them and I cherish the time I have spent with them.
Whenever there is a new baby in the family or my cousins or aunts need help with their children I always take the role of being their babysitter.
My main responsibilities include, cooking and feeding, bathing, changing nappies for babies, looking after them and making sure they are not doing anything that can harm them, putting them to bed, play with them and tidying up the house after play time. Through this time, I have found out how much fun it is to have children around.
The reason why I want to be an au pair is that I want to get to know your way of life as well as your culture. Most importantly, I cannot imagine anything better than a chance to spend an entire year taking care of children.
I'm fully vaccinated and can start immediately, I also have the needed documents ready for visa processing.
I hope we can develop a good relationship, working and living together as a family. I would be very happy to experience an eventful year with you and your kids. I am looking forward to talking to you.
